TICKFORD RACING – SNOWY RIVER RACING 2023 REVEAL
15 February, 2023
Tickford Racing has released its second Gen3 Ford Mustang for the 2023 Supercars Championship. James Courtney will once again drive the No. 5 Ford Mustang for Tickford Racing, which will display unmissable levels of the eye-catching teal of naming rights partner Snowy River Caravans.
For Courtney, 2023 will mark his fourth season at Tickford Racing and 17th season in the Supercars Championship as a main game driver, making him one of the most experienced drivers in the field. Courtney is excited to once again partner with the team at Snowy River Caravans as he strives to take the teal back to the podium in the 2023 Supercars season aboard his No. 5 entry.
I have seen a few car and regulations changes in my time in the sport, but none quite like this,” Courtney said. “It’s a huge change to what we have previously known and I’m excited to see the racing move closer together and the cars to resemble more of what the road going Mustang is. I’m also excited to continue our partnership with the awesome team at Snowy River Caravans, it was great to have them on board last year and I’m ready to bring the teal in 2023.”
With 2023 marking a huge year for the sport, Courtney is as motivated as ever to put his car back at the top off the back of his three podiums in 2022, and hopes to help lead his younger teammates through such a dramatic change.
“This year will be a huge learning curve for everyone I think, no team is going to have the upper hand, it will be interesting the see how we compare after some testing and first couple of practices at Newcastle”, The No. 5 driver also said. “It’s always exciting ahead of a new season, 2022 was a choppy year for my team, but we know we have what it takes to overcome anything we face, I’m as motivated as ever to get out there and make the teal team of Snowy River Caravans and Tickford Racing proud, and I can’t wait to get the season underway.”
Courtney will join his Tickford Racing team mates in pre-season testing over the coming weeks at Winton Motor Raceway and Sydney Motorsport Park ahead of the season opener on the streets of Newcastle from the 10th-12th of March.
