Campbellfield, Vic. – While we are disappointed not to have raced this past weekend at the Melbourne 400, we understand and continue to support the decision made by the event organisers and Supercars, and look forward to getting the 2020 Virgin Australia Supercars season back on track as soon as is safe to do so.
At this stage Supercars has not made any decisions on changes to the 2020 schedule, however this may be impacted in the future by recently enacted safety measures taken by Australia and New Zealand. We have a clear line of communication with Supercars, and are regularly in contact with the category as the situation concerning COVID-19 across Australia, and the world, develops.
We will inform you of any updates as soon as any new information is available. In the meantime, we encourage fans of the sport to practise good hygiene by washing their hands and containing coughs and sneezes. If you feel you have the symptoms of COVID-19 and have recently travelled overseas or have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, seek medical attention as soon as possible and minimise contact with other people. We have encouraged these actions and more internally to keep our workplace as safe as possible in these unusual but challenging circumstances.
Lastly, we encourage you to support the business partners of Tickford Racing however you are able. Our range of over 40 corporate partners is comprised of companies big and small, all of which will be affected by the economic impact that stems from this pandemic. You can find a list of our corporate partners at https://tickfordracing.com.au/partners/.
We are grateful for your support of Tickford Racing and the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship, and look forward to lining up on the grid in the near future. Any updates to our operations as a team and category will be communicated when readily available.
