TICKFORD RACING – SNOWY RIVER RACING EXPANDS PROGRAM
15 June, 2022
Tickford Racing driver James Courtney’s Ford Mustang will continue to sport the teal and white of Snowy River Caravans at this weekend’s Darwin Triple Crown, following the caravan brand’s extended support of the No. 5 Mustang for another two Supercars rounds. The relationship between Tickford, Courtney, and Snowy River Caravans started with a splash in May, where Courtney scored a runner-up finish in Race 12 at the Perth SuperNight on debut of the Snowy River Caravans Mustang.
Today’s announcement means Courtney will continue racing the No. 5 Snowy River Caravans Ford Mustang this weekend in Darwin and also at the NTI Townsville 500 in early July. Furthermore, Courtney will travel to Townsville in style, making the trek north by road with his family and a Snowy River SRC-22F caravan in tow, documenting the excursion for Supercars Media.
“It’s fantastic to have the continued support of Snowy River Caravans in Darwin and Townsville,” Courtney said. “To have a new brand come into the sport and see their enthusiasm for being part of the team has been really cool. Obviously standing on the podium in Perth was an amazing start to our relationship and hopefully we’ll have more of that heading north the next couple of rounds. The team at Snowy River Caravans are also building me an SRC-22F to take the family up to Townsville in, which is going to be a blast. The kids may not love the idea of sitting next to each other for that long, but we’ll hit some really cool stops along the way and of course live out of the SRC-22F which has literally everything we need, so we’re really looking forward to it.”
In celebration of its expanded partnership with Tickford Racing, Snowy River Caravans is giving away six tickets to this weekend’s Darwin Triple Crown, fans can enter their chance for tickets here: https://share.hsforms.com/18xKQ9YslT6GDQX16RSoakQczs7m.
Fans attending the Darwin and Townsville events will also get to see Snowy River Caravans up close and personal, with on-site activations planned at both of Supercars’ northernmost race venues.
The Darwin Triple Crown takes place this weekend at Hidden Valley Raceway, followed by the NTI Townsville 500 on July 9-11, held on the streets of Townsville.
