Bathurst 1000 - Day Two

MAIN GAME

Practice 3 began on a high note for the team, with Thomas setting an impressive lap that put him in P1 early on. Unfortunately, once Tyler took over, they encountered a minor water pump issue that required a quick fix, leading to some lost track time. Despite this hiccup, Thomas’s early lap held up well, and Car 55 finished the session in P2. Meanwhile, Car 6 focused on gathering important data, which will be vital as they progress through the weekend. In Practice 4, Car 55 continued to collect valuable insights for the team while Car 6 maintained its strong form, securing P2 for the session.

Qualifying proved to be an eventful affair. Car 6 secured P2, earning a spot in tomorrow's Top Ten Shootout, while Car 55 had its best lap cut short by an ill-timed red flag, which derailed what could have been. Nevertheless, Car 55 is set to start the Great Race on Sunday from P19.

While the team has mixed feelings about the day, they are focused on the opportunities that lie ahead, including more practice sessions and Cam's upcoming Top Ten Shootout. With Sunday being a long race, the team is committed to working hard for the best possible results for both cars.

Cam Waters — Car #6
“Finding the limit is part of what we do as race car drivers, and I think I found it today. I believe I've got a little bit more up my sleeve; I just have to keep it on the black stuff. Whoever makes the fewest mistakes will get pole, I think.”

DUNLOP SUPER 2 SERIES

Qualifying for Race One brought an incredible result for the team, with Brad on P1, Rylan in P3, and Lochie securing P4. The team's hard work paid off, and the boys showcased the pace needed to stay competitive. The mood in the garage was high, as the results set a strong foundation for the rest of the weekend.

In Race One, Lochie had a strong start, quickly jumping from fourth to second. Unfortunately, a mistake cost him, and he dropped back in the field. Lochie was candid about his disappointment, saying, "Qualified 4th this morning and moved up to second at the start of Race One, then threw it away. Livid with myself. Had a ripper car thanks to the team. Restart and go again tomorrow." Despite the setback, he’s focused on coming back stronger in the next race with the pace clearly there to contend.

Rylan celebrated a significant milestone, claiming his first podium finish in the series, crossing the line in third place. His performance was a real highlight for the team, as he continues to show growth and consistency. Thrilled with the result, Rylan looks ahead with confidence, eager to maintain his momentum in the upcoming sessions.

Brad finished P6, battling through a challenging start but engaging in an intense, multi-lap battle with another competitor. Despite the tricky start, his efforts on track were strong, and he's optimistic about improving in the following races.

The team is ready to regroup and focus on tomorrow's race, determined to build on these solid performances.
