MAIN GAME
The main game team had a relatively quiet start to the Adelaide 500, with only one practice session on Thursday. Thomas Randle and Cam Waters clocked in at P11 and P12, respectively. Though it wasn’t an ideal rollout, the team took the time to gather valuable data and are confident they can find more pace in Saturday’s sessions.
Cam Waters, driver of Car 6, reflected on the day: “It was an average first day—we didn’t roll out of the truck as strong as we’d like, but we have another practice tomorrow, so there’s time to learn, make adjustments and see what we can achieve.”
The team is focused on refining the setups overnight and is optimistic about improving their performance in tomorrow’s sessions.
DUNLOP SUPER 2 SERIES
The opening day at the Adelaide 500 saw the Tickford Racing Super2 drivers complete two practice sessions ahead of Saturday's double qualifying sessions. Brad Vaughan led the team in Practice 1, securing P3, with Rylan Gray close behind in P4 and Lochie Dalton in P7. Practice 2 proved more challenging, with Brad finishing P14, while Lochie and Rylan clocked in at P9 and P8, respectively.
Lochie commented, “Not too shabby today, rolled around on some old tyres till the end of P2. Need to find some pace and send it tomorrow.” Rylan added, “Happy with today, a bit of work to do for quali but looking forward to having a crack, love being back at Adelaide.”
With solid practice times, the team heads into tomorrow's qualifying sessions looking to find even more speed and secure strong grid positions.
